OLD PHOTOS – pg 2

1930's era -- few Llano school photos seem to exist from that time period, even fewer class yearbooks. Below are believed to be 6 Llano High School class photos from 1936-1937: a football team, a staff photo, two 1936 class groups, and two 1937 class groups.  All of these photos are in one single framed collection within the O. Henry School Building. They are labled 1936 and 1937 on the back of a cardboard support which holds the photos. Since the Llano Library, nor the Llano School Library have school yearbooks for the 1930's, we cannot idnetify the individuals in these photos. We are hoping you, the public, can help identify the faces below. If you can, please contact the Llano Co Coordinator. The following group photo was submitted by Susan Kellett. Susan has been researching the names of “Savage”, “Lackey”, and “Ticer”. Her great-grandmother was Allie Beatrice Savage Ticer and is pictured in photo below. She is the 2^nd from the right (black hat and black purse). The photo is entitled “Granny w/childhood Llano friends”. Are all these people friends, or are some also family members? Can anyone identify any of the other people in the photo, or where/when it was taken?

Flora Kate Bolt-Carr / 1927-1928 Kingsland School photos:

The photos below were contributed by Bettie Cavanaugh in Santa Fe, New Mexico. She obtained them from Barbara Oaks in Oklahoma who was the step-granddaughter of Harvey Carr. Upon his death Barbara Oaks came into possession of Flora's photos and then passed them to Bettie, who has passed them to Llano Co in hopes of finding family who might recognize the students in these photos.

Flora Kate Bolt was born 9-2-1906 in Burnet Co, TX. She died 5-29-1945 in Dublin, TX. She married Harvey F. CARR on 8-24-1940 in Stephenville, TX. Flora Kate Bolt evidently was a teacher and taught school at Kingsland. Most of her photos are labeled "my boys", "my girls", "my pupils", etc. and were taken when they went on picnics or other outings such as those around the bridge on the Colorado River near Kingsland. In all her photos, only 2 are named; those names are Mary Beth BRADLEY (a small child in photo), and "friend & pal" Miss Ophelia WILLIAMS, Kingsland, TX.
