Two Leopards Killed near Gussettville

The following is a transcription of an October 23, 1874, Galveston newspaper article:

"LIVE OAK COUNTY"

"We learn from the Oakville Tribune that some young men of Gussettville killed two leopards near that place on the night of the 21st ult., one of them being the largest one ever met with in this country --- the other was quite young, and scarcely grown.  The old one had killed two yearlings and a horse, and dragged them up together preparatory to a grand "feast"."
