F.A. Johnson of Lapara

Mr. F.A. Johnson of Lapara was in our city yesterday.  While here he purchased a buggy from Messrs. Burrows Bros. and a member of the above named firm quietly informed our reporter that he thought Mr. Johnson had designs on some young lady in his section of the country.  So, take warning ladies.

L.J. Lancaster of Live Oak County

Mr. L.J. Lancaster of Live Oak county was in our city last Saturday and gave this office a call.  He informs us that cotton in his section would make about one-quarter of a bale to the acre without further rain and with a good rain at present it would double its yield.  He also states that he will soon move to Oakville and engage in the newspaper business.  The Picayune wishes him success.
