Thomas Austin Dickey, Jr., 77, of Houston died
Sunday, May 19, 2002. He was born in Oakwood, Texas to Thomas A. and Maggie
E. Dickey in 1924. A proud patriot, he served in the Air Force for over 20
years, and was a veteran of World War II, the Korean and Vietnam Wars.
Dedicated to his family, he was a loving husband, father and grandfather, as
well as a friend to many.
Thomas was preceded in death by his loving wife Katheryn. Survivors include
his children, Judy Ainley of Sealy; Deborah Smith of Spring; Dale Dickey and
Dane Dickey, both of Houston; Thomas A. Dickey III of Lufkin, as well as 7
grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 P.M. Wednesday at Pat H. Foley Funeral
Home. Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Thursday at Houston National
Cemetery Chapel. Interment will follow in Houston National Cemetery
