Leo C. Dickey was born in Leon County, Texas
January 9, 1916 and went to be with the Lord Saturday, May 31, 2003 in
Pasadena. He was retired from Shell Oil where he served as a Master
Mechanic. Mr. Dickey served his country in both WWII and Korea in the U. S.
Air Force and was a member of Parkview Church of Christ.
Mr. Dickey was predeceased by his wife Doris Alma Dickey who died in 1999.
His sons and their wives James Leo and Susan Dickey and Thomas Wayne and
Ramona Dickey survive him. His sisters Christine Shipp and Johnnie Springer
of Madisonville, Tx as well as seven grandchildren and eight
great-grandchildren also survive him.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday, June 3, 2003
from 6 to 9 P. M. and there will be a celebration of Mr. Dickey's life at
the funeral home chapel Wednesday, June 4, 2003 at 10:00 a.m. with Mr.
Robert Goodman of Cedar Bayou Church of Christ and Mr. Jerry Fite of
Parkview Church of Christ officiating. Burial will follow at Grandview
Memorial Cemetery. Military rites will be conducted by American Legion Post
#521 at the Chapel Service.
