Funeral Home
Funeral services for Darrell Wayne Bradley, Sr., age 60, of Centerville are
scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Thursday, January 29, 2009 at the Walters Funeral Home
Chapel in Centerville, Texas. Rev. Billy Gunnels will officiate the service.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. at the Rosewood Cemetery in Humble,
Texas. Walters Funeral Home in Centerville, Texas is in charge of all
arrangements.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 28, 2009 from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with the family present from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Walters Funeral Home in Centerville, Texas.
Darrell Wayne Bradley, Sr. was born on January 9, 1949 in Forth Worth, Texas to George Edward & Laura Mae (Moore) Bradley. He married his wife, Shirley, in September of 1972 and they had two beautiful children. Mr. Bradley served in the United States Army. He worked as a city and county police officer for 20 years until his retirement. He then taught his wife how to drive a truck and they both became over the road drivers for 15 years. Darrell loved his family and friends. His hobbies included fishing, hunting, taking care of his horses and his boxer, “Cheyenne.” Mr. Bradley was a member of the Deer Creek Mason Lodge in Everman, Texas for 30 years and a member of the Austin Scottish Rite in Austin, Texas. He passed away on January 25, 2009 in Houston, Texas and is preceded in death by both of his parents; twin brother, Harrell Bradley and grandson, Nicholas Hasbell.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley Bradley of Centerville, Texas; son and daughter-in-law, Darrell W. Jr. and Renea Bradley of Johnstown, Colorado; daughter, Laura “Sissy” Bradley of Covington, Texas; sister, Darlene Barree of San Saba, Texas; grandchildren, Andy, Telly, Brie-Anna and Cody Bradley and great granddaughter, Anya Bradley.
Pallbearers are Ehren Bradley, Scott Dillard, Jonathan Meshell, Telly Bradley, George Lawson, Robert Stakes and Sean Britton
