John Wallace “Buddy” Bain, Jr.
Died 28 June 2009 – Walters Funeral Home
Funeral services for John Wallace “Buddy” Bain, Jr., age 46, of Leona were held
at 11 AM, Wednesday, July 1, 2009 at the Walters Funeral Home Chapel in
Centerville. Rev. Dean Easterling, pastor of the Calvary Baptist Church in
Centerville, officiated and burial was in the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery located
south of Centerville.
John Wallace “Buddy” Bain, Jr. was born August 1, 1962 in Madisonville, Texas to John Wallace, Sr. and Peggy (King) Bain. He grew up in Centerville and was a 1980 graduate of Centerville High School. Buddy was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church and had worked thirteen years for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice as a guard. Buddy was an avid Dallas Cowboy and Texas Longhorn football fan and he especially enjoyed playing sports with his nephews. He showed a great love for his family and often spent time with them. He was a great help to his Mom and Dad and was an important part of their lives. He will be missed. Buddy died at his home on June 28, 2009.
Buddy’s surviving family includes his parents, John and Peggy Bain of Centerville; two brothers, Donald Bain and his wife, Dannette, of Centerville and Greg Bain of Centerville; a sister, Tammy Gilbert and her husband, Alton, of Crockett and nephews, Nick Bain, Niles Bain, Bradley Gilbert, Noah Bain and Nathaniel Bain.
Pallbearers were David Bain, Kenneth Wayne Bain, Jay Wesley Bain, Wayne Bell, Ray Pate and Darrell Matthews. Honorary pallbearers were Ricky King and Danny Lacey.
