Willie Lucille (Powell) Allison:
"The Normangee Star", Vol. XXI, No. 37, July 20, 1933. "Mrs. Allison found dead.
Mrs. Herbert Allison of Marquez was found dead at her home Friday of last week.
She had been complaining of a slight headache for some days, but was able to
keep on with her housework. She had been busy all day, and in the afternoon had
stepped out of the house for a few minutes. Her husband and brother were at work
at the front of the house. One of the children noted the mother's continued
absence and went to look for her, and found her lying dead. The doctor decided
that a ruptured blood vessel in the head had been the cause of death. Mrs.
Allison was Miss Lucille, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. I. Powell who formerly
lived here and at Wealthy, but for the past several years of Mount Vernon in
East Texas. Mrs. Powell is a sister of our fellowman, J. W. Kyle. Mrs. Allison
was about 30 years of age, and leaves her husband and three children, aged about
13, 8 and 3. She was buried Saturday in the Cemetery at Marquez."
