| Leon Co., TX. Deed Book 52, pgs. #348 - #350. State of Texas, County of Leon. Whereas we, Mrs. M. J. POWELL, W. I. POWELL and wife, Maude JONES and husband of the County of Leon and Victoria, State of Texas, did on the 26th day of July A. D. 1919, by deed of that date duly recorded in the Records of Deeds Leon County, Volume (blank) page (blank) Grant, Sell and Convey to R. L. GILBERT of the County of Leon, State of Texas, the following described property, to wit: a certain tract of land situated in Leon County, Texas, being 29 6/10 acres of the B. F. WHITAKER League, reference to the deed for full description and did in said deed retain a Vendor's Lien on the property so granted, sold and conveyed, to secure the payment of a part of the purchase money mentioned in said deed as follows, to wit: Note #1 for $437.50 of date July 26, 1919 due Jan. 1, 1920 , in favor of W. I. POWELL & Note #2 for $437.50 of date July 26, 1919 due Jan. 1, 1920, in favor of Mrs. Maude JONES And, whereas, said Vendor's Lien notes given as aforesaid for part purchase money, of said property, has been paid to W. I. POWELL and Mrs. Maude JONES the legal and equitable holders and owners of said notes: Now, Therefore, know all men by these presents: That we, W. I. POWELL and Mrs. Maude JONES the present legal and equitable owners and holders of said Vendor's Lien notes above mentioned do hereby release, discharge and quit claim unto the said R. L. GILBERT, his heirs and assigns all rights, title, interest and estate, in and to the property above described, which we have or may be entitled to by virtue of being the owners of said Vendor's Lien notes and do hereby declare said property released and discharged of all liens created by virtue of said Vendor's Lien notes above described. JONES, having been examined by me privily and apart from her husband and having the same fully explained to her, she, the said Maude JONES acknowledged such instrument to be her act and deed, and declared that she had willing signed the same for the purposes and consideration therein expressed, and that she did not wish to retract it.
