At the point where FM 977 intersects highway 3, CR 442 intersects from the west. At 0.10 miles down CR 442 there is a locked gate at 0.40 miles is another road and a sign that says PR 4200. Across this gate to the left is Watson’s Chapel Missionary Baptist Church. This grave is behind this Church.

Ruth O’Hara and her 20 year mate Arthur F. Preston are the owners of the Lone Oak Ranch of which this Cemetery is a part. Mr. Preston is now in the process of restoring this old church. He has a stone marker for the restored church that reads as follows:

When the burial site of Ms O’Hara was viewed by Herbert McCarter he saw 9, what looked to be a high-grade funeral home markers with the names of Sissy, Captain, Delbert, Cammie, David Ann, Secret Agent, Piggy, Cruiser & B.J. He asked the carpenter that was working on the church house if he knew anything about them. He had worked for Ms O’Hara before and said that he knew that she had a “fox hound” named Captain and he supposed that they were all “fox hounds”.Surveyed by Herbert H. McCarter January 21, 2000.

employee of Ms. O'Hara & Lone Oak Ranch
Ruth O’Hara started the Lone Oak Hunt Club for fox hunting. She was not the
wife of Arthur F Preston. Ruth was his 20 year mate, they never married. The
other markers are all dogs from her fox hunting pack, except “Captain”. This was
Mr. Preston’s poodle.
Mr., Preston now makes his home in Kentucky, I believe, with his wife Stephanie
and their son Cole.
The land for the church was donated by the Streater family many years ago.
