I need to find my great grandmothers parents names. Susie Malissa WILLIAMS' father had a hotel in Forney, Tx. Susie died about 1904 when my grandmother was seven yrs. old. The hotel would have been in Kaufman county prior to 1900. Susie Malissa married Minyard O'REAR around 1880. This is only approximate time-frame. MORTON I am looking for descendents of William C. MORTON and his wife, Eliza Jane Freeman. They were possibly married in Lincoln Co. Tenn. on June 8, 1842. This couple moved from Tenn. in the fall of 1846. They are registered in the 1850 Red River Co. Census, 1860 Kaufman Co. census, and in the 1870 Fannin Co. Census. This MORTON family is associated with the FREEMAN family of Lincoln/Bedford Co. Tenn. and possibly Abner FREEMAN as well. William and Eliza Jane are buried in the Whiterock Cemetery near Bailey, Texas. William's dates are(1823-1892), and Eliza Jane's dates are (1824-1879). They are buried directly east of the shelterhouse perhaps in 10 or 15 yards. They did have a number of children. My connection is with Cyntha Adelaide Morton, (Hurt), (Mitchell). Look into her query in this county for more information. I do appreciate any inquiries on this. My regular mail address is Box 671, Temple, Okla 73568. Sincerely, Randy Stewart P.S.
