HITTSON posted by Christy Michelle Rice on Friday, February 13, 1998
There is an Alexander HITTSON and Jamima Mary Jane HITTSON buried in the Old Pioneer Cemetary near Kemp in Kaufman Co. Can anyone tell me if there might be a Berry/Barry HITTSON also buried there. Also, by chance does the Brazos river run anywhere near this cemetary. Family keeps telling me there is a HITTSON Cemetary somewhere along the Brazos River, needless to say that could be almost anywhere.
Would also love to correspond with anyone researching this name.

December 23, 1869 as [James Knox] Polk GIST of Texas, Thomas J. GIST, Nancy A. GIST, John L. GIST of Texas, Mary E. GIST (under 14), and Martha Jane GIST, who married Joel J. They were in Texas only a short time, they were in Dunklin County, Missouri by 1874.

BROWNLEE posted by Karen Whitehead on Wednesday, February 25, 1998
Looking for the BROWNLEE family who lived around College Mound in Kaufman County, possibly 1860 through 1890. One of them was Charles William Brownlee born to Jane Benison Brownlee in about 1872. I have the name C.A. Brownlee as having lived in Kaufman County but do not know if he is the father of Charles William Brownlee. I think some of them are buried at the College Mound Methodist (I think) Church.
