Augusta Coffin Jackson, daughter of Mary Ann and Abel Coffin. This information from Don Benton: Augusta Coffin Jackson died either in childbirth or from complications soon afterwards. Her husband, T. R. (Thomas Rivers) Jackson, was buried in the McGaffey Cemetery in Sabine Pass. Later, his remains were moved to Magnolia Cemetery in Beaumont (see headstone below) where he was reinterred with Mary McGaffey Jackson. Burwell Jackson, T. R. Jackson's father, is buried in Sabine Pass. |

Sarah Elizabeth Coffin Harper, daughter of Mary Ann and Abel Coffin is buried in Sabine Pass Cemetery. She was born 12 October 1831 in Pennsylvania. She died 19 August 1862 in Sabine Pass, Texas. She was the wife of Professor Samuel Harper, who was a teacher and elected Justice of the Peace, Precinct 3, in Jefferson County from 1874 to 1884. |
