The Opry is held at the Civic Center in Crockett, TX with the promise of a fun, wholesome show for the entire Family to enjoy. Mission Tejas State Historical Park Established in 1690, the Mission San Francisco de los Tejas was the first Spanish mission in the province of Texas. The Mission is a 365 acre park located 22 miles northeast of Crockett on Highway 21 in the Davy Crockett National Forest. Visitors can tour a commemorative representation of the original Mission as well as the restored Rice Family Log Home. |

Davy Crockett National ForestRatcliff Lake Recreation AreaFrom Crockett: Take Hwy. 7 east for 15 miles and turn left on entrance road. ($3 day-use fee per vehicle, per day at Ratcliff Lake).
The facilities at Ratcliff Lake are open year-round. The area includes 77 camping units, 17 single-family picnicking units, two picnic shelters, swimming area, concession stand, bathhouse with showers, fishing piers, and playground. There is also an amphitheater for evening programs. The 1-1/2 mile "Tall Pines" hiking trail can be accessed from the campground or the picnic area. A 3/4 mile "Trail Tamers" accessible trail can be accessed from the picnic area. |
