SARAH A. HOLLINGSWORTH - 1837-1892

Died at her home, seven miles east from Grapeland, Houston County, Texas, February 9, ten
o'clock a.m., 1892, Mrs. Sarah A. Hollingsworth, consort of Mr. Stephen Hollingsworth.
Her maiden name was Lucas. She was born and reared in Dallas County, Alabama. Born
February 12, 1837; hence was at death 55 years of age lacking three days.

December 12, 1853, in Clark County, Mississippi, she was wedded to Mr. Stephen
Hollingsworth who survives her, though seems by weight of years (75) to be standing on the
"river's brink" waiting to soon cross over.

From Mississippi she came with her husband and several children to Houston County, Texas,
landing January 5, 1866. She was the mother of eleven children, all of whom survive her,
the youngest being eleven years old.
