MRS. A.A. WORTHINGTON - died 1892 Mrs. A. A. Worthington, widow of G. W. Worthington, died at her son's, W. B. Worthington, on Nevel's Prairie, February 26, 1892, and her remains were laid to rest awaiting the great resurrection morn. She was born in East Tennessee October 6,1811, where she married in the year 1830 and came with her husband to Richmond, Missouri. Here they were broken up by the Mormons, who threatened to kill them because they would not join them. They did burn their house and destroy all their property and forced them to go back to Tennessee. Afterwards, they came to Arkansas and in 1863 came to Texas and settled in Trinity County. Her husband died in 1872 and she came to Houston County with her children where she lived until her death.
