EDNA EARL MUCKLEROY - Dies Suddenly at Woodlake Home - Edna Earle, daughter of Mr. And Mrs. Vernon (Sam) Muckleroy, died at noon Friday, June 13, at the home of her parents at Woodlake. She was at the dinner table with her mother and father when death came suddenly. Edna Earle was 14 years, 12 days of at the time of her untimely death, being born Feb. 1, 1927, in Crockett, where she spent all of her life until the first part of 19841, when she moved with her parents to Woodlake. She had finished the eight grade this year in the Groveton high School where she was a member of the band. Before coming to Woodlake she was a member of the Crockett band and featured as a clarinet soloist. The week before her death she had visited friends in Crockett. She was beloved by her schoolmates at Crockett and Groveton. A member of the Methodist church, she was faithful to her church vows. Funeral services at the Crockett Methodist church Saturday afternoon at 4:30 were attended by hundreds of relatives and friends including the Groveton high school band members. Rev Harry Rankin officiated. Song services were conducted by her girl friends of Crockett accompanied by Joyce Thompson at the organ. The local band and the Crocket band with their directors, Mr. Lively and Mr. Darsey, attended to pay their last respects. Interment was in the Crockett cemetery with the following acting as pallbearers: Roy Lester Morrow and Buddy Anders, Grapeland, Hardy Roberson, Groveton: Brent Bennett, Jacob Carprielian and Preston Blalock, Crockett. Survivors are her parents, Mr. And Mrs. Vernon Muckleroy, Woodlake; her grandparents, Mr. And Mrs. George Muckelroy of Precilla and Mr. And Mrs. T. M. Buller of Crockett; a number of aunt, uncles, cousins and friend who mourn her passing.
