WALLER - GOSSETT - BRASHEARS CEMETERY (Wesley Chapel Community)

This abandoned cemetery is located on the Easter Land Ranch, 7 Mi. West of Crockett off FM 229 in the Wesley Chapel Community.

This overgrown and disused cemetery is on property now owned by Jim Land. It is located on a wooded hilltop in a pasture off CR2075, southeast of FM229, in the Wesley Chapel Community. At the time the cemetery was in active use, there was a community of more than twenty families living along the road on which the cemetery was located. When the rood was relocated, the families moved and the cemetery was no longer used. At this time, an effort by Sue Johnson to restore the cemetery has not been successful.

First copied by Thos. P. Story in 1970. Later visited by Maude Land, Annie Mae West, Opel Jones & Ella Frances Dodd in 1977.
Mona Moffitt Jennings, who lives at Leisure Lodge Nursing Home remembers going to this Cemetery when she was a little girl with her Grandmother, Mrs. G.W. Clines, to visit the grave of "Little Willie" Clines. She says at that time this Cemetery had many graves and large oak trees.
