TITUS CEMETERY

Origin of this cemetery is uncertain; it is located off Highway 21 West on the Leon Bennett Ranch, formerly part of the Jim and John Hazlett estate. When travel became impossible due to bad weather, use of the cemetery was abandoned, and New Pleasant Grove was established.

Many slaves are said to be buried here, and some old headstones remain, but they are hard to read.
