JOEL W. STOWE FAMILY GRAVES - SAN PEDRO COMMUNITY

Joel Wells Stowe and wife Hannah Goolsby Stowe settled on a tract of land at San Pedro Community near San Pedro Creek in the early 1800's. The Joel Stowe survey extended on both sides of FM 2022 - (Rusk Road).

They are buried in a small cemetery on their land, as are some members of their family - seven graves in all. Graves are enclosed in a fence on private property and is not accessible to public.

Information given for a Houston County Cemeteries Book being compiled by Houston County Historical Commission. Information from Mary Alice Stowe Oliver (Mrs. Herman Oliver), granddaughter of Joel W. and Hannah Stowe, and daughter of Joe W. and Mrs. Alice Stowe.
