OLD PATTON CEMETERY
Located 4 Mi. N. of Ratcliff, TX on FM 227 on E. side of road at top of a
slight hill. The graves are enclosed with an antique iron
fence. Most of the graves are of the family of Robert S. Patton, an early
pioneer of Houston County, arriving here in the early
1830's.
The other two names, Bumgarner and Warren are related by marriage to Louisa,
wife of Robert S. Patton. Descendents of the Warren Family, Morris and Mary
Oliver have been maintaining the Cemetery for several years to the present
time.
The Olivers were also able to get a roadside marker for it.
