KILGORE CEMETERY
(Also Sol Durham Cemetery or possibly Sullivan Cemetery)
Located five miles east of Ratcliff off SH-7, turn north into Davy Crockett
National Forest after driving a half mile past the Mt. Vernon and Enon Road
crossing.
The cemetery was first copied in 1971 by Nannie English, Rubie Petty and
Mary Frank Smith. They described the burial grounds as abandoned and that it
was possibly called Sullivan Cemetery as a man named Charlie Sullivan lived
at one time near the cemetery. For the current publication, Atmer Lucker
updated adding another possible identification as Sol Durham Cemetery. He
reported that the cemetery is fenced but unkept.
