JIEL HUNTLEY CEMETERY

Highway 19 South, turn East on a dirt road by the New Pleasant Grove Church, and opposite the Four-Mile State Park. Seven-tenths of a mile on the dirt road is the cemetery, on left side of the road. The gate is locked; a key can be borrowed from a near neighbor. After entering the ranch, go about a mile on sandy road to the cemetery. (This road is virtually impassable during rainy weather) . Large oak trees shelter the grounds enclosed within a fence. The old frame arbor is in need of some repair.

Jiel Huntley gave land for the cemetery in the 1800s. His grave has not been located.

Simple stones dating in the 1800s are here, as well as many newer markers.  There are also numerous unmarked graves.
