Joseph Wilson Beathard was born about 1819 MD;  died March 18, 1879. He married Earie Ann  Bounds on 5 March 1857. She was born in Perry County,  in 1826, the daughter of James H. Bounds and Naomi Rachel.

 He and Earie Ann (who died on April 8, 1914) are buried at Old Zion Cemetery in Houston, County.

Joseph Wilson & Earie Ann moved to Texas sometime after 1858.  They lived near Pennington in Trinity county. Joseph Wilson was a Methodist minister and a farmer.

Joseph Wilson and Earie Ann Beathard had 10 children:

• Virginia Beathard; born January 1, 1858, died March 3, 1944.

• Elijah Beathard; born December 30, 1858.

• Missouri Beathard; born October 9, 1860, , died February 1880.  She married Jasper Pool.

• James Carey Beathard; born November 9, 1861.

• Eugena Beathard; born January 3 1865.

• Emma Ann Beathard; born April 5, 1867.

• George Whitfield Beathard; born March 9, 1869.

• Laurissa Beathard; born April 7, 1871.

• Joseph Albert Beathard; born November 19, 1874, died January 21, 1951.  He married Nancy Ellen Hooks. 

• John Wesley Beathard; born February 9, 1876. He married Elizabeth Carpenter.
