OLLIE WALKER - WAGNER was the
daughter of Rev. Jiles and Jane Walker. She married
John Wagner of Hall's Bluff,
Houston Co., TX. She was a teacher and raised a family of
six children.
Their children were: Georgia Mae Wagner-Jolly (married Chester
Jolly), K.C. Wagener, J.C. Wagner, Beacher C. Wagner, W.T.
Wagner, and Odessa Wagner.
Rev. Jiles Walker, father of Ollie Walker, was born August 25,
2846 in Mississippi and married Jane Smith June 19, 1870.
She was born April 16, 1849 in Crockett, Houston Co., TX.
They lived in a small farm house about 1 1/2 miles west of
Crockett. They had six daughters, all born in Crockett:
Tabby, born 1884, married Redemer Woods; Sibba, born 1886,
married Elijah White; Rose, died at birth; Ollie, born 1888; Ivy
Lee, born 1898, married a Burton; and Viola, born 1900, married
a Jenkins.
Rev. Jiles Walker worked for Johnnie and Kathleen Hale and
preached the gospel throughout the County. His wife, Jane,
worked for the Jessie Spencers and the Millers. |
