Jeremiah Mitchum Crook left Houston County with his family and moved to Oklahoma. He became a Judge and later retired in Oklahoma City. He is buried there. Narcie Bayne was his second wife; his first wife was Dora Blakely who died in 1887. He and Dora Blakely had a son, James Barry Crook.
