The Courier is glad to note the return of A.M. Brewer to Crockett from Altos, Okla.

County Judge E. Winfree was confined to his room a few days last week with pleurisy.

The Courier regrets to learn of the removal of W.H. Hall from Kennard to Madisonville.

J.A. Wedemeyer of Creek Route 1 was among the Courier's friends in town Tuesday.

E.E. Barlow, a Courier subscriber from the first number, was in to see us Wednesday morning.

One hundred and thirty four hogs were shipped last week from D.A. Nunn's Trinity river ranch to the Fort Worth market.

The Smith Hardware Company has leased the Moore building opposite the Airdome theatre, which they will use as a warehouse.

Walter Patterson, R. Cunningham, Mrs. E.L. Simpson and M.A. Milliff are among Courier subscription renewals since last issue.

H.R. LeMay, field secretary for the Texas State Realty Association and a cousin of Tom LeMay was in Crockett Tuesday.

M.D. Driskill of Palacios, C.W. Newberry of Burke and J.E. Downes of Dallas are among Courier subscription renewals since last issue.

County Commissioner Creasy was conveyed home last week suffering from an attack of pneumonia. He was attending court at the time.

E.L. Brown of Kennard Route 1, besides renewing his own subscription, is sending the Courier to C.L. Grounds at Valley Mills, Bosque County.

Outside parties have bought the old Enterprise wooden building from J.E. Downes of Dallas and are having it torn away to make room for a new building, which will be used for a shop.

Louis Bond has resigned his position as head salesman at Dan McLean's and associated himself with the Crockett Dry Goods Company at which latter place he will be glad to see all of his friends.

Miss McVey, manager of the sewing department of the Seminary, graduate of Miami University, domestic science department, will be pleased to take orders for dressmaking for the present at the Seminary.

Craddock & Morgan's store at Kennard was destroyed by fire on Sunday of last week. The origin of the fire is unknown to the Courier. The books and valuable papers were saved. The store will be rebuilt.

Dissolution Notice. Notice is hereby given of the dissolution of the Farmers' Union Gin Company of Holly, Houston County, Texas, this 17th day of January 1912. W.L. Driskill, Pres.

Notice of extension of corporate existence of the First National Bank of Crockett will be found in another place in the Courier. This bank was chartered twenty years ago and the comptroller of the currency authorized succession until January 7th, 1932, twenty years more.

The congregation of the First Presbyterian church of this city last Sunday refused to accept the resignation of Rev. S. F. Tenney, which was tendered on account of long service and advanced years. He is now entering his forty-second year as pastor of that church and is active in his duties.

Removal Notice. I have moved my stock of staples and fancy groceries to my building on Main street opposite the airdome and extend to the public an invitation to call on me when in need of anything in my line. The Courier this week presents the announcement of A.W. Phillips for sheriff of Houston County. Everybody knows Ab Phillips. He assumed the duties of Sheriff a little over a year ago and is making a good officer. His announcement is, of course, subject to the democratic primary to be held in July. He solicits your support and promises faithful service.

Bank Officers and Directors. At the annual meeting of the stockholders of the First National Bank of Crockett held last week, the following board of directors was elected: H.F. Moore, Arch Baker, M.P. Jenson, James S. Shivers, John LeGory, D.G. Moore and W.C. Teter. The directors elected the following officers for the ensuing year: H.F. Moore, president; Arch Baker, vice-president; M.P. Jenson, cashier.
