Last Monday all the students interested in Tennis met in Room D. for the purpose of organizing a Tennis Club. Millard Winder was elected President. Grace Hedick was elected secretary-treasurer. Billy Jones was elected manager. About twenty-five boys and girls attend the meeting. Permission was obtained from the Tennis Club in the city to use the middle court at the park, if the boys cleaned it off. The boys have been working all week on it and have cleaned off most all the grass, after which it will be necessary to level and roll it.
NO BASEBALL TEAM:
Some of the business men of the city have been asking about baseball. The High School will not have a baseball team this year because there is not enough funds on hand to buy necessary equipment for the team. If the business men want a baseball team, it is suggested that they contribute to a fund to buy the necessary equipment. It would not take very much to buy this equipment. There are some excellent baseball players in the High School.
