STUBBLEFIELD, Clyde M. Pvt., son of Mr. and Mrs. G.A. Stubblefield, graduated from Sulphur Bluff High School. Entered Army September 1945, and still in training.

STUBBLEFIELD, George A. Pfc., son of Mr. S.S. Stubblefield, husband of the former Kathryn Pardue. Entered Army April 1944, trained at Camp Bowie, TX. Served in England, France, and Germany. Has Combat Ribbons with Stars.

STUBBS, Esco L. Pfc., son of Mr W.M. Stubbs, husband of Lilllian Bell Stubbs. Entered Air Corps September 1942, trained at Boise, ID. Has Good Conduct Medal, Overseas Ribbon and others.

STUBBS, D.C. S/Sgt., son of Mr. W.M. Stubbs. Entered the Army Signal Corps in August 1942, trained at Camp Crowder, CO. Served in England and France. Has ETO Ribbon and other honors.

SULLIVANT, John T. S/Sgt., son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Sullivant, husband of the former Massell Smith. Entered the Air Corps in November 1940. Trained at California and Germany. Received the Air Medal, Battle Stars, Bronze Star, Theatre Ribbon and others.

SUMMERS,Dee B. Pfc., son of Mrs. Mabel Summers. Entered the Army Field Artillery in July 1943, trained at Camp Gurber, OK. Served on Guadalcanal, Solomons, Bougainville, Philippines, and Cebu. Has Purple Heart, Combat Ribbon with battle stars and other honors. Killed in Action July 1945.

SUMMERS, Elvis F. Pfc., son of Mrs. Mabel Summers, husband of the former Syble Starret. Entered the Army Infantry in September 1943. Trained at Camp Wolters, TX. Served in North Africa, and Italy. Has Combat Ribbon with Battle Stars and others.

SWAIS, John T.Cpt., son of Mrs. Willie Leslie Sharber, husband of the former Clote Balfour. Entered the Air Corps in February 1941. Trained at Spartan School of Aeronautics, Tulsa, OK. Served with the 8th Air Force in England. Received Purple Heart, Air Medal, ETO Ribbon with Battle Stars. Killed in Action, while on a Mission of Germany, February 26, 1943.

SWANCY, Monroe E. Pvt., son of Mrs. Lela Culpepper, husband of the former Joan E. Smikler. Entered Army August 1941, trained at Ft. Sam Houston, TX. Served in the Aleutians, on Attu. Has Purple Heart, Campaign Ribbon with battle stars and others. Wounded in Action January 1945.

SWANNER, Lee R. Pvt., son of Mr. and Mrs. J.M. Swanner. Entered the army Infantry in December 1943, trained at Camp Wheeler, GA. Served in Scotland, England, France, Belgium, Luxembourg, and Germany. Has ETO Ribbons with Battle Stars, Purple Heart, and other honors.

SWANNER, J.P. Pvt., son of Mr. and Mrs. J.M. Swanner. Entered the Air Corps in January 1943. Trained at Keesler Field, Miss. Received honorable discharge, September 1943.

SWINDLE, Thomas B. S 2/c., son of Mr. and Mrs. L.L. Swindle. Entered Navy in January 1943. Trained at Great Lakes IL. Received Medical Discharge May 1943.

SWINDLE, Lessie C., T/Sgt., son of Mr. and Mrs. Tom Swindle, husband of the former Rebecca Shoffit. Entered the Army in February 1936, trained at Ft Sam Houston. Served in Ireland, England, France, Belgium, Holland, and Germany. Has European-African Middle Eastern Campaign Medal, Bronze Star, Combat Infantry Badge, and other honors.
