McFall Cemetery

contributed by: Nancy Jane Faulk White Adams
see also reading by June England Tuck.
This cemetery is located in the north central part of county, at Nelta, on FM 71. It is in a pasture, east of the Nelta cemetery, same side of road, north. A very old cemetery, bad condition when indexed. Have been told many stones are missing now. Many of the early settlers are buried here. McFall Cemetery is named after Julius McFall who donated the land. Julius' sister married Vivian Daniel Tucker. V D Tucker moved to Hopkins Co as a youngster from Indiana along with 6 other families in the 1840s. I was told that no Mcfall is buried in the McFall Cemetery.
