Wilson Allen Green
Submitted by: Martha Green Stevens

Wilson Allen Green born February 16, 1863 in Black Jack Grove, TX was the oldest son of James Wilson Green and Eliza Ellen Finley. He married Elizabeth Edna Ticer January 1, 1885. They had five children: George Arthur Green, Ernest Bruce Green, Ellen Jewell Green, Myrtle Gay Green, and Wilson Allen Green.

Wilson Allen Green, born in 1863, was the son referred to in the James Wilson Green bio. James Wilson would take Wilson Allen out of school to help drive the turkeys to market. Gaston Milford Green tells the story of his Uncle Wilson coming to town. "I remember when Uncle Wilson would come to town each Saturday. He never unhitched the horses from the surrey with the fringe on top. He would hand me the lines and I would climb up on the seat and take off. I would drive all over town so everyone could see me . I was the top dog that day!"
