Nancy Adams: Newman L. Dortch was my Grand father. Newman Andrew Dortch homesteaded about 200 acres in Hopkins County, Texas just south of Sulphur Springs, Texas. He continued to live there until his death. His son Newman Lawrence Dortch born on the farm, and Newman Lawrence Dortch's wife, Willie Edna Martin continued to live there until their deaths.
