Shade G. Nettles, Ex-Commissioner Dies
Athens, Texas
March 14, 1939
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at the LaRue
Methodist Church for Shade G. Nettles, 78, former Henderson
County Commissioner,
who died here Tuesday.
Burial will be in the LaRue Cemetery.
A resident of Henderson County fifty years, he was a native of
Georgia and one of a large group that emigrated to East Texas in
the eighties.
Surviving are six daughters, Mrs. M. F. Wood and Mrs. Jess
Miller, Athens; Mrs. Della Williford, Mrs. Luda Williford, Mrs.
Willie Crews and
Mrs. Ida Curtis, all of LaRue.
