Rufus Carswell Dies At Macon Georgia
----------

News was received here at noon Monday of the sudden death of Rufus J. Carswell of Kerens, son-in-law of T. J. Swanson of this city, at Macon, Georgia, where the Carswell family had gone two weeks previous for a visit with his people.

Mr. Carswell's death did not come as a shock to relatives as he had been in failing health for some time with heart trouble. His condition, however, had improved to such an extent it was thought that the trip would prove beneficial as it was the great desire to go back to his childhood home before his health failed completely.

He leaves a widow, one daughter and two sons, and several aunts and uncles in Georgia.

A telegram received Tuesday morning from Mrs. Carswell stated that the family would arrive in Malakoff with the body Friday, but funeral arrangements had not been completed at the time of this announcement.
