Funeral services for Ardee
Lee (R. D.) Frentress, 65, of Route 3, Athens were held at 2 p.m.
Wednesday in the First Assembly of God Church with
Rev. Charles Wigley officiating. Burial followed at Oaklawn
Memorial Park with Foster and Brown Funeral Home of Athens in
charge of arrangements.
Mr. Frentress died Monday in a Tyler hospital following a lengthy
illness.
He was born Aug. 7, 1916 in the Ash Community in Henderson County
the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Laban T. Frentress and lived
most of his life in
the area. He was a retired farmer and rancher and was a member of
the First Assembly of God Church.
Survivors include his wife, Cassie Ann Frentress of Athens; four
sons, Carl D. Frentress and William Edward Frentress, both of
Athens;
Jackie Wayne Frentress of Tyler; and John Earl Frentress of The
Colony; one brother, Clinton Frentress of Dallas; five sisters,
Maggie Dingler of Malakoff,
Maudie McFarland of Houston, and Nadine Loden, Ester Belle
Washington and Jessie Wilmer Hagood, all of Athens;and four
grandchildren.
