Monta Anderson
Obituary
Monta Anderson, 79, died in a
Tyler hospital at 9:40 a.m., Monday after a long illness.
Born in Bridgeport, he had lived in Athens since 1939 and was a
retired farmer. He was a member of the Baptist Church.
Mr. Anderson is survived by his wife, Mrs.
Hettie Anderson of Athens; two sons, David Lee Anderson
and Jack Anderson both of Athens; three
daughters,
Mrs. Geneva Brewer of Fort Worth, Mrs. Mary Jane
Weldon of San Angelo and Mrs. Clara Cummings
of Athens; two sisters, Mrs. Sally Bailey
and Mrs. Bertie Tackle, both of Bridgeport and
four grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday at 4 p.m. in Carroll Springs
Church with the Rev. John T. Adkinson
officiating and burial was in Carroll Spring Cemetery
with Hassell and Foster in charge.
