Mr. Jenson Dies;Rites On Friday

Martin J. Jenson, 88, died Wednesday at 5:25 p.m. in Athens after a lengthy illness.

Born in in Denmark July 29, 1876, Mr. Jenson came to the United States and settled in Henderson County in 1917. He spent his life in the Bethel community where he
was a farmer until his retirement.

Mr. Jenson is survived by four sons, Russell, Roy and Norvald Jenson, all of Athens, and Arthur Jenson of Dallas, and nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Friday at 2 p.m. in Carroll and Lehr Memory Chapel with the Rev. Bruce Harper officiating, and burial was in Athens City Cemetery.
