J. H. Slagle Dies; Rites Tuesday

Graveside services were held Tuesday for John Henry Slagle 68 year old former resident of Athens who died Thursday night in Modesta, Calif.
Services were conducted by the Rev. Don Shamblin at 2 p.m. in Davis Cemetery with a Waco funeral home in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Slagle was born July 11, 1895 and lived most of his life in Athens.
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Delia Kolbert of Tomana, Calif.; one sister, Mrs. Bertha Hickman of Kaufman; six brothers, Ed and Robert Slagle of Resida, Calif.,
Terry Slagle of Athens, Oder Slagle of Cumbie, and Ernest Slagle of Waco, and two grandchildren.
