J.A. Martin, 80, Dies Friday At Residence Here

Following an illness of ten weeks, J. (James) A, Martin, 80, died at the family home at 618 West Larkin street here at 11:50 o’clock Friday morning.
Funeral services were held Saturday with interment following at the Red Hill cemetery.

Deceased had been a resident of Henderson county for the past thirty-five years. He was a native of Panola county, Texas.

Survivors include his wife; six daughters, Mrs. Emma Lewis and Mrs. Gunstantson, both of Murchison; Mrs. O. O. Hayles and Mrs. J. W. Wade, both of Athens; Mrs. Mary Eldredge, Marshall, and Mrs. Laura Speakes, Breckenridge; and one son, J. J. Martin of Athens.
