Callie Gauntt March 24, 1897

Callie Gauntt age 27 years and 26 days, died at her home
at Catfish March 24, 1897. Though her mortal remains are
gone from this stage of action we have ever reason to believe
that her immortal spirit abides with God forever. Her trust was
in him who doith all things well. She professed faith in Christ
and joined the Christian Church at Modoc, Henderson Co.
Tex. some ten or eleven years ago. She remained a member
of that church until death. She suffered intensely for three
and a half months, during which time she received but little
relief. Though her suffering was great, she was heard to
complain but very little. She leaves a husband & 4 small
children to morn the loss of a wife & mother. To her husband
and relatives we would say bear in minde, amid the sorrow
there is a sweet feeling we will meet in Heaven. There we'll
walk the Gold paved Street togeather.
