Funeral services for Benigno R. (Benny) Garza Jr., 27, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday in the chapel of the Foster & Brown Funeral Home with
the Rev. Bill Newman officiating. Interment will be in Oaklawn Memorial Park with Foster & Brown in charge of arrangments.
Mr. Garza was born Jan 17, 1954 at Nixon,Texas and passed away Dec. 11, 1981 from injuires in an automobile accident. He had been a resident of
Athens for the past 16 years, was a member of a Baptist Church and was an employee of a Tyler Drilling Co. at the time of his death.Survivors include
his wife, Mrs. Sharon Garza of Athens; one son, Joe Willard Garza of Athens; his father, Mr. B. R. Garza Sr., of Mabank; his mother, Mrs. Eva Garza
of Stockdale; his step-mother, Mrs. Norma Jean Garza of Mabank; three brothers, Jerry Garza, Ricky Garza, David Garza and two sisters,
Mrs. Gloria Authement and Mrs. Diana DeLeon.Pallbearers include Jimmy Stout, Terry Stout, Larry Irvin, Randy Satterfield, Joe Johnson and Chuck Hill.
