Mrs. Pollock, 79, dies; Funeral rites due
Thursday
Athens Review Sept. 24, 1976
Mrs. Amy Lillian Pollock, 79, of Athens died Tuesday afternoon in
a local nursing home folloing a sudden illness.
Funeral services are set for 2 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of the
Foster and Brown Funeral Home with the Rev. Walter B. Chance
officiating.
Burial will follow in Oaklawn Memorial Park.
Mrs. Pollock was a life-long resident of Texas and had lived in
the Athens area for 20 years. She was a housewife and a member of
the Baptist Church.
She is survived by two brothers, Frank Monnersmith of Athens and
C. E. Monnersmith of Tyler; two sisters, Mrs. Mary L. Elkins of
Route 3 Canton
and Mrs. Annie Mae Burkley of Athens; and a number of nieces and
nephews.
