This is a picture of my great, grandfather James Sims.  James was the
son of Richard H. Sims and Rebecca Anderson Sims.  James was born in AL
on Jan. 13, 1833.  By 1835 the family was in Sabine, TX.  By 1870 several
of the family members were in Henderson Co.  On July 10, 1874 James
married Rebecca Susan Josephine Cleveland in Henderson, Co.  To this
marriage was born Mittie, Rebecca, Minnie, James W.,  Sallie, Richard O.
(my grandfather) and Mary Julia.  James died March 28, 1891 and is buried
in the woods next to the Friendship Cemetery near Leagueville.
