Generation I, Texas

George William Grayson,* b. Feb. 20, 1830  with his parents, George and
Cynthia Hanna Grayson  from Big Cove, Alabama  followed George's 
uncles, Jackson and Charles Grayson first to Rusk County where George
and Cynthia were on the Rusk County census of November 24, 1850.  
George William married Manilla Starnes Merrit in Rusk County, Texas on
January 5, 1854.  Manilla first married  Samuel J. Merritt  and they
had  daughter, Mary Merritt, born in 1853.

daughter, Mary, born in 1853. George W. and Manilla had the 
following children all born in Athens, Texas:

1. Jarome Bonepart Grayson b. Dec. 20, 1854
2. Monterville Grayson b. July 20, 1857; m. Charles C. Stevens before
1890 and moved to California. 
3. John W. (Rip) Grayson b. Sept. 22, 1860 
4. George W. Grayson b. Dec 9, 1862
5. Sara Cyntha Louella Grayson b. April 16, 1865, m. Charles   
Lafayette Bateman,  March 18, 1881*
6. Ambrose Grayson b. April 2, 1871
7. Maude Grayson b. Jan 17, 1873, m. John (Jack) Cox August 8, 1895
8. Mark Samuel Grayson b. March 18, 1877, m. Mattie Neill

Sara Grayson and Charles LaFayette Bateman had the following children
all born in Athens, Texas; All children's surname Bateman:

Artie Jewel Bateman m. Jesse Jarome Elledge January 17, 1917, Henderson
County, Texas North of Athens in Bethel community.

Artie and Jarome Elledge  had the following children:

Jesse Lawrence E.     b. May 25, 1931  m. Rebecca Daniels

Cynthia Snider and  Maxwell Jospeh Snider had the following children;

1.  Richard Joseph Snider b. November 30, 1946, Tulsa Oklahoma 
2.  James Grayson  Snider b. May 8, 1982, Corpus Christi, Texas

                             Generation VI
    
Richard Snider m. Deborah Kaye Meikle Sept. 28, 1973 in Dallas, TX.
They adopted:

1. Shea Elizabeth Snider b. June 8, 1992, Dallas, Texas 
2. Chloe Joseph Snider b. April 19, 1995, Dallas, Texas
