The above photograph shows the new brick building erected by
Emmett Monroe on Terry Street, near the highway intersection, and
which is now the new home of the Monroe Cafe, owned and operated
by Mr. And Mrs. Emmett Monroe. The structure, of modern
design and attractively decorated, contributes its fair share in
the continued wave of improvement in the general appearance of
the city's downtown area. A spacious dining room across the
rear of the building is being used for the regular weekly
meetings of the Malakoff Rotary Club.
