Henry Baskin Files Matilda Patience "Pash" Owens Sarah Elizabeth Owens or Floyd Click on above phots to see enlargement I also have a picture of a Sarah Elizabeth, not sure of last name. The confusion being that there are two of them living next to each other in Pike County, Al., 1860 census, same house 1870 census with 'Owens ' surname. Both born in 1858. Another neighbor was Sarah Elizabeth Litchfield. All Three families came to Texas about 1872-74 together. Sarah Elizabeth Owens, aka Elizabeth Owens, sister of Pash Owens. Sarah Elizabeth Floyd, sister of Burrell Floyd Daughter of Rebecca Ann Shirley-Floyd-Owens-Smith. They were step-sisters. She married Jake Walters/Temple. As best as I can determine, only one came to Texas. Another sister, Olive Ann Floyd, married Levi Trammell. Burrell and Rebecca are buried at Willow Springs Cemetery. Pash Owens-Masters is my G- Grandmother. Henry Files is my G-Dad, born in Henderson County. Burial in Willow Springs Cemetery between Henryetta Files and William R Master. There are three unmarked graves there, Henry and a son and daughter that die at birth. William Masters is his brother-in-law, son of Pash and William Lee Masters. Submitted by Jesse Files |
