Trinity Advocate August 18, 1858 CITATION A. J. Lawrence vs. Geo. & Serena Downs. THE STATE OF TEXAS To the Sheriff or any lawful Officer of Henderson Co., to execute and return-- GREETING: Whereas, A. J. Lawrence has made oath by his attorney, R. F. Dunn, before me the undersigned authority, that George Downs and Serena Downs, is indebted to him in the sum of one hundred dollars, due upon an account in the year 1857, the residence of the said defendants is unknown and on application of said A. J. Lawrence, a writ of attachment has been issued and the property of the said George and Serena Downs, attached to satisfy the same. These are therefore to authorize and commmand you to summons George Downs and Serena Downs, by publication in the Trinity Adovcate, a newspaper published in Anderson county, for three successive weeks to appear before me at the Court-house, in the Town of Athens, Henderson county, on the last Saturday in August 1858, to answer the complaint of the said A. J. Lawrence. Herein fail not to make due return of this writ as the law directs. Given under my hand at office this 3rd day of August A. D. 1858. K. K. Knight. J. P. Prect. No. 1, H. Co.
