Stockard Oct. 20. -- The weather is fine now after having
several days of rainy weather last week.
Everyone is busy picking cotton trying to finish picking before
it rains again.
Chester Dixon, who has been sick for the past three weeks is
reported not doing so well as this writing.
Mr. and Mrs. Jack Rogers spent Sunday in the home of Mr.
and Mrs. Charlie Van Cleave at Eustace.
Miss Alma Harris and Miss Bernice Garner of this place spent
Sunday in Dallas and visited the fair while there.
Mr. Reagan Tarrent was also a visitor at the fair at Dallas
Saturday.
Mrs. Tom Taylor was called to Crandall a few days ago to be at
the bedside of two of her grand children, who were very sick.
Mr. Jackson Hines of near Rome came here Sunday, where he
will attend school the coming year.
Our school started last Monday and had a very good
enrollment. But expecting more to begin later on.
