Sand Springs Community News
Sand Springs, Oct. 20, -- The Death Angel visited our
community Thursday and sped away with a precious little soul
while loved ones wept over the lifeless body of little **Jack
Perry, youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. Collie Perry. We can't
understand why they are snatched away, these sweet little
buds of life, that are so dear to our hearts, yet we are taught
that God knows best. We know not what waits for them in the
future. So have faith dear ones, that you may meet in a
brighter land.
But words are so meaningless in such an hour of sadness
and grief. We search in vain for one little word of consolation,
one to even halfway convey our heartfelt sympathy, to those
dear parents, yet we must cast each one aside.
Mrs. George Harry McElroy of Ennis were here for little Jack
Perry's funeral.
Mrs. E. Campbell has returned from Garrison, where she
attended the bedside of her daughter. We are glad to report
the daughter able to accompany her home. But her little
grandson has been quite sick since their return.
Mrs. W. A. Hubbard has been suffering with asthma the past
three weeks but is some better now.
Mr. W. A. Hubbard went to Jacksonville last Sunday, where he
is under the treatment of physicians. He returned Monday.
**Jack Derwood Perry son of P. C. & J. V. born Sept. 14, 1921
died Oct. 14, 1926 buried Old Athens City Cemetery.
