Sampson, June 27- Most everyone is about up with their work now, since it has been dry so long. Cotton is doing very well now but if it doesn't rain real soon the corn crop will sure be cut short in this part.
There has been quite a bit of sickness in our community for the last two weeks.
Jack Strong has been on the sick list but is reported better at this writing.
W. G. Warren has been confined to his bed with chills and fever.
One of M. P. Cummings' children has a case of measles.
Genie Warren has been confined to his bed with illness.
W. A. McGee and family of Pine Grove, Reagan Warren and wife of Centerview and Larkin Warren and wife of South Texas, spent Sunday in W. G. Warren's home.
Quite a number from here went yo Modoc Sunday evening to see the ball games between Modoc and Mill Run and Bois 'darc and Centerview.
Eliza Warren and wife spent the week-end at Carroll Springs with relatives.
